OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church is to glorify God:

Our goal is that we reach out to Christians and non-Christians by praying, witnessing, sharing God's word, and inviting them to AEBC in hope that they may build a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We share our life together, seeking to strengthen each other in faith through worship, teaching, fellowship, and love.

We wish to enlarge the body of Christ through evangelism and good testimony. Together, we can glorify God and serve His purpose.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
ABOUT GOD
God is the creator of the universe and everything in it. He is our Lord and Savior. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

ABOUT MAN
Man was created in the image and likeness of God. He is God's creation. Man has fallen short of the glory of God and is separated from Him because of sin.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless life on earth and offered Himself as a sacrifice by shedding His blood on the cross for the sins of humanity. He gained victory over sin and death by rising from the dead and ascending to heaven.

ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is a gift from God to man. It cannot be attained by good works. Only in believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for the sins of humanity, and asking for forgiveness from these sins, can one obtain salvation.

ABOUT ETERNITY
Man was created to exist forever in the presence of God, but sin separated man from God. He will either choose to stay eternally separated from God by sin, or to be united with God through salvation. Man can be eternally separated from God in Hell or have everlasting life with Him in Heaven.

ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Holy Bible is God's word to all men. It is written by man, but inspired by God under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Since it is inspired by God, it is completely accurate, containing absolutely no error or fallicy.

ABOUT TRINITY
The Holy Trinity consists of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, being one God in three persons.

HISTORY OF AEBC
The Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church (AEBC) has been ministering to the spiritual needs of the Armenian community of the Southern California for the last 84 years. It all started in 1922 as a meager home Bible study in Pasadena, where few families came together to read the Bible, to pray, and to encourage each other in their faith. As the group grew larger, it moved to a rented room on the William Carey campus. The church meetings moved to its present location at 1576 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena, in mid 50's. Later on the social hall was added. The final addition was done in early 80's with the building of the Sunday School and the Administrative space.
Although the meeting locations, the ministers, and the congregation have changed over the past eight decades, the mission of the church has not. AEBC is committed to be the beacon of light in our community by preaching the word and living out what we preach, all to the glory of God.
